Fight for SA

Fight for SA – a boxing fitness class to benefit Scholar Athletes (SA)
Hosted by the SA Young Professionals Board

Saturday, May 9, 2020, 1PM – Virtual Boxing Fitness Class (60-minute class)

Join athletes of all levels for a fun boxing fitness class, hosted by Everybody Fights Trainer Rob Velasquez (IG: @bigcoachv). Help support Scholar Athletes’ work to create opportunity through athletics for high school students, using mentorship, sports & wellness, academic coaching, and much more.

In crisis situations, under-resourced communities become even more vulnerable, and we’ve already heard from many of the young people SA serves that they are relying on our support more than ever. SA staff have quickly transformed their program model to provide virtual group and 1-on-1 coaching to help kids navigate this crisis, remain active, and stay on track. But, we need your help to keep this program free and accessible for all.

We understand everyone’s situation is different and want to include as many people as possible, so we are asking you to pay as you can, with a suggested minimum donation of $20. For those who can do more, we appreciate you! Anyone who signs up with at least a $20 donation will be entered into a raffle to win SA swag.

We partner with public high schools across the Commonwealth using dedicated “Zones,” spaces where athletes meet with inspiring mentors and dedicated coaches. With Massachusetts schools shut down in response to COVID-19, we’ve taken our programming online. Using Google Classroom and Google Voice technology, we’re offering individual and group support to help kids stay healthy, manage stress and focus on their future.
